Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
I marriend a residente alien in 1995 we had a daughter born in the US in 1997 I was expecting a new baby and when crossing the intl bridge from mexico to the us an immigration officer took my border crossing card after this i came back illegally and my daughter was born in the US too...after this I went back to mexico but started my paperwork to become a resident alien, in the year 2000 I tried crossing again (my husbando had taken my daughters threatening me by taking them away from me) with someone else's birth certificate and ID but didn't use them because I just declared myself to the immigration officer as a US citizen...i ended up being sent to a detention center. When I wento to court an immigration officer told me it would not affect me at all, I was not deported, but I know I signed a paper (do not remember what it was) I got divorced after this and cancelled my papework with immigration. I got marriend again and my husband is a resident alien...i came to the US illegally and have two sons too... (2008-present) I want to know if there is a chance I can get my residency...?
