Rarely does anyone acquire legal permanent residence 'fast'. It is a lengthy process, that first requires that you (and/or your family) qualify through a recognized category, such as employment-based, family-based, asylum, etc. Then, if not qualified for an immediate visa, you have to wait until one becomes available.
