Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Thanks for the response. I understand that my sister who is on F-1 after completion of her studies and OPT will be out of status. However, during the waiting period for the pending I_130, can she continue to be a student by enrolling to other programs? Thanks. Imrana

Yes, theoretically she can continue in a F1 status as long as she is enrolled full-time, pays tuition as international student, attends school, etc.
In order to qualify for adjustment of status in, let's say, 9 years, she has to maintain her F1 status all these years, do not work without authorization, etc. Otherwise, she can wait abroad.
