Legal Question in Immigration Law in Texas
Hello, if I am currently out of status but intends to get married to my fiance in 2 months. Can I acquire a legal document for the 2 months?
1 Answer from Attorneys
If you are out of status, you cannot have any legal documentation until you marry your USA citizen fiance and apply for adjustment of status and a work permit. Until then, you will remain in "illegal" status or out-of-status.
I assume that you came to USA on some type of visa and eligible to apply for adjustment of status.
