Legal Question in Insurance Law in Texas
Isurance issue
I recently purchased a new town home from my sister-in-law. Before we had officially moved in or signed the contracts and title, there was an accident in the home. My husband and I were bringing a refridgerator into the house and accidentally pinched a copper water pipe. Some flooding occured that leaked into our neighbors house as well and now their insurance is trying to make us pay for it. Are we considered liable even though we did not own the property at the time?

Re: Isurance issue
Turn it over to your sister's homeowner insurance or if you have such to your own..and don't pay..they probably will not sue as it was not foreseeable..but insurers complain about lawsuits like Pres Bush but are the first to sue
