Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

Non-payment of TWC wage claim

I filed a wage claim with TWC and my former employer was ordered to pay me unpaid wages, but refuses to do so. TWC set a lien for recording against my former employers assets, but I don't think that the business exists anymore. Is there any action that can be taken against the owner of the business, such as a small claims case?

Re: Non-payment of TWC wage claim

You should consider filing a lawsuit in a justice of the peace court against the individual owner for violation of the Texas Pay Day Act.
