Legal Question in Employment Law in Texas

I was a nurse supervisor at a local nursing home. I got fired in Nov. 2009 for a reason they said was " too many complaints". They said I was cursing at nurses. I was never counseled on that before or anything else for that matter. So was that reason enough for them to fire me?

There are always exceptions, depending upon your individual circumstances; however, generally Texas is an employed-at-will state. If you have a contract that governs conduct, then the contract determines this outcome. Otherwise, generally, if you were not fired for illegal reason (protected), then you may have no recourse.
