Passed Background and not hired

Hi,

I submitted a background check and drug screen and passed. Only to find out 2 weeks' later that I was not going to be hired. The reason given was ''it was a team decission''.

It doesn't seem like this should be a legal practice, as I stoped looking for futher employment and gave them permission to look into my entire background.

Does this seem right to you?

They have a right not to hire you. Absent discrimination, you would not have recourse.
