sued by employer
My husband is being sued by the company he works for. They are saying he took gratuitys from a contractor who did not do his job to satisfation. Can my husband be fired during the lawsuit?

If the company has gone to the extent of suing him already without firing him, that's a very strange situation. Why hasn't he negotiated with them,--apparently it's over money not principle!
They can fire him (unless contracted for differently), for any reason or no reason. In this case, they believe he did it, so they would have cause. Maybe the lawsuit is just to get a view from an impartial factfinder, and he will be fired later. Also, if it's a matter of money, then chances are they don't wnt to fire him, they just want their money.
Get a lawyer, and get negotiating.
