Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Texas

medical malpractice lawsuit

I have filed pro se lawsuit to get in before the statue of limitations ran out. I have been unsuccessful in find a lawyer. I have received a set of interrogatories from the dr's lawyers. Must all of these be answered?

Generally in Texas, you must either answer or object to discovery (interrogatories and request for production of documents). There are very specific deadlines you must meet and if you are late in your answer or objection, then your objections are waived and you are subject to sanctions from the court.

Medical malpractice is very technical and you must follow all rules of civil procedure-evidence as well as article 4990i of the health code. If you do not follow these rules your case will be dismissed.
