Legal Question in Personal Injury in Texas

An angry coworker (teacher) approached me in my tiny office and verbally attacked me. After many requests for her to leave, I decided to leave the situation. The coworker blocked the door with her body and refused to let me leave. I had to call an administrator to come and move her so I could get out of my office. Did she break any laws by physically trapping me and not allowing me to leave?

Yes. She falsely imprisoned you. It's a civil tort. You could sue her if you wanted; but the damages might be 0 or slight. So, a lawyer would not want to sue her for you unless you paid his/her hourly rate. Besides this might escalate a bad situation and you need to decide whether it would make your life better or worse.

Similarly you could contact the DA regarding it; but unless there's concern about your safety, the DA may be reluctant to press charges. Taking it to this level could cause repercussions at work that could be very negative.
