Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Sale of property owner finance

I sold some property that was co-owned by myself and my ex-huband, I have re-married with a name change, what name do I put on the deed? Do I use a special or general warranty deed, and once I fill it out, does it have to be notarized with mine and my ex-husband both signing in front of the sme notary public?

You can use either a special or general warranty deed. Do not use a quit claim deed. Your ex- only needs to convey all of his right, title and interest in the property and the grantee needs to read. Jane Doe n/k/a Jane New-Name, a single woman. Then record it in the Official Public Records where the property is located.
