Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
I have a tenant that refused to allow the property for showings and inspection and cost us a potential sale of the property. We were within the 30 days allowed by the lease agreement. Can we penalize the tenant for this behavior by withholding some or all the security deposit?

The problem is assessing a value to the behavior. Potential sale is very illusory and I doubt you would win if you made a claim.
