Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Rear End Accident
My niece was rear ended by a man, who was very biligerant and did not want to call the police because he stated he had something in his car that he did not want them to see. My niece was in my sister's car and she had no insurance, so they both went on their way. Eight months later, my niece gets a letter in the mail stating the man who rear ended her is suing her for $5000.00. She does have a witness, but does not have a clue what to do, and has no money for a lawyer. Can you advise as to what direction for her to go?
