Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

statute

I have just received (02 Feb 06) a warrant notice for a speeding ticket that I was issued on 04 Apr 97, which I do not remember. During that time I was enrolled in the Navy's Delayed Entry Program where soon after on 01 Oct 97 I became active duty. Before I left for the service, I had my recruiter tell me that all my tickets, etc.. where taken care of. What I would like to know is if the event that particular ticket was not ''taken care of'', how long is the statute of limitations on a speeding ticket?

Re: statute

they have two years to file the class C if they do not file it within two years then it will be barred--however the time you where out of the state is not considered in that time. Article 12.02 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, read it for yourself.
