Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
my husband and I have two grown children that are married with their own families. They are not interested in our property. We need a will but do not want it contested if we leave our property to someone other than the children. Is this possible? We want to leave personal items to them but our animals, and land they will only sell. What do we need to do? Wills are so expensive to have a lawyer draw up.

Wills can be expensive depending on the complexity if they involved trusts etc. It sounds like you may not be going into that direction.
You can always draft a letter to show the reasoning of the gifts.
How much of an estate are we discussing?
call us to discuss price..but one can never prevent heirs from contesting one's wishes..look at the Nicole Smith case..greed or feelings of wrong..lead many heirs to contests..but go to a lawyer..
