Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Intent

My Dad bought various pcs of sculpture for many years. About 15 years ago he moved it to our house because he had it in his attic. Over the past 10 yrs he told us and my kids it was ours and asked us not to sell it. He was killed in an auto accident with my Mom. Now my younger sister who is the executor says the sculpture is part of the estate. It is not in the will, and the have a hand written note from my Dad listing 100 pcs. We only got like 25. The Estate lawyer is demanding that we have the 100 pcs appraised as part of the estate, because although my Dad delivered them to our house, INTENT must also be proven. My sister wants the money and my Dad asked us never to sell them. He did not trust my sister. They are not in the will, the inventory sheet, is not atached to the will, not sure what to do.
