life insurance money

have 100000 life ins. policy have cancer expected 6 mo to live have 1yr old daughter want to make sure she is provided for and am afraid to trust family or friends to do right. feel i dont know what all i should consider or how to go about trying to learn and put in place?? thanks

Life insurance proceeds are non probate assets. What ever is on the contract is what the insurance company must do. Contact an attorney

If you don't have a family member you can trust, you may wish to check with your local financial institution. Many smaller banks may have trust departments that can act as a trustee.
