Are life insurance proceeds considered a part of a person's property estate??

If you are talking about insurance proceeds the deceased person personally received prior to their death as a beneficiary of someone else's policy, then the proceeds are, in all probability, part of the estate. If you are talking about proceeds their beneficiary(ies) will receive because of a policy the deceased person owned, then the proceeds are probably not part of the estate.

Chances are that it is part of the estate, but passes outside of probate. There are estate planning techniques that can take it outside of the estate.
