Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Original WILL not found

Father die on August 10, 2008, original WILL can't be found. Step-mother has attorney sent myself and my sister a certified letter of this and wants us to accept just having a copy of WILL in order to probate. Attorney mailing copy of WILL to myself and sister. What are the chances of a Judge excepting just a copy?

Can't afford an attorney. Please advise

Under the right circumstances a copy of the Will can be acceptable if the original cannot be found.
