Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

I am probating my aunts will but the bank mergered into wells fargo in 1986, so that bank is no longer open, to clear my probate notes I was told to send notice to the successor of the bank and get a declination to act from that bank, Would that be the new bank Wells Fargo?

Call the trust department of the new bank and ask them if they want to serve or not. Depending on the size of your aunt's estate, they may decline, but if it is a large estate they may not. You also need to make sure that there is a successor named in your aunt's will. If not any declination by the named bank would cause big problems.
