Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas

Rights of adult children when the parents die.

My husband's parents adopted him and his brother over 40 years ago. At this time, they had two grown biological children. His father recently passed away, and out of an estate worth a million + $$ he left the adopted children $10.00 each. Yes, ten dollars. Are there any laws that the adopted children should be treated the same as the biological children when settling the estate??

Thanks for your prompt response, this goes to probate on January 8th.

Not in Texas, you can completely leave out a child

if you choose, however, with that amount of money

at stake you should contact a probate Attorney

myself or an Attorney of your choice to look at

the will and discuss the case.
