Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Texas
Will Contest
Hello,, I live in Texas. I have a question: My grandmother died in 2003. She left a Last will and testament. My uncles were the only ones to have a copy of it. The lawyer that wrote it did not have a copy. I feel that they changed the will while they had it. I have since talked with one of the witnesses to the will. She said that the will she signed did not look like that. It had (me) mintioned in it to recieve. Her best friend, maid, preacher, and a few others all said the same thing. Only the Witness actually saw it in writing. Is this good enough evedence to get the will trown out? Also, It took 6 months to get it probated. They kept saying ''the lawyer has it, and the lawyer said they had it. One of my uncles is a Lawyer. I feel he would know how to Forge a will. Thank you for any points you may have.
Thanks,
M

Re: Will Contest
It may be, but that's a fact question that can only be settled in court. That sort of contest can get very expensive.
