Legal Question in Business Law in United Kingdom
Hello, I have recently purchased some counterfit goods from a seller on eBay who should be known to eBay for selling fake goods. eBay is still allowing this person t carry on selling the same counterfit items on eBay therefore making me as an eeBay member vulnerable to receving such illegal goods.
I have reported this seller to eBay however they are apparently not showing any interest to stop this person from trading in their site.
Can eBay be charges, and ultimately be found guilty in aiding and betting in sale of counterfit goods?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello and thank you for your question
If eBay is aware that the goods being sold through their website are counterfeit and still allow it than yes they are guilty of abetting the sale of counterfeit goods. eBay need not take action against the seller for all of his goods only for those goods which are counterfeit and are being traded through eBay.
