Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United Kingdom
My mum in law died over 2 years ago and we have only just received a cheque for less than we expected. My wife's sister is executor of the will and a beneficiary.The other beneficiary is my wife.
We are suspicious. Can we get a copy of the assets and dispersion of those assets from the solicitor in confidence.

A beneficiary is entitled to a copy of the estate account and your wife's sister as executor of the estate is legally obliged to provide a copy. This is a duty which would be enforced by the court if necessary.
