Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in United States
I am an NRI home loan customer, my property is occupied by my family members and they are threatening that it is not my property. Now I have stopped paying EMIs . What will the Bank can do in favour of me. Will it have any impact on my NRI status ? Will the bank send the details to Embassy ?

if you have stopped making debt payments the property will be foreclosed sooner or later and you may face a judgment against you.

The bank may be concerned primarily with recovery of its dues; they may first try to recover from you personally and then by selling the mortgaged property; if the money is recovered, they may not chase you through the embassy.
