Legal Question in Criminal Law in Utah
Gun ownership
What if I gave a weapon to a homeless person because they were being harrassed by youths waking them and beating them up?
Would I be responsible if they took the gift, unwrapped it, bought ammo and ended up shooting an attacker without registering the weapon?

Re: Gun ownership
DUH. In 'giving' a gun to someone without complying with all the transfer and registration laws, you committed state and federal felonies. If he commits a crime with it, you can also be held responsible as an accomplice.
