Legal Question in Immigration Law in Utah
I was granted a Diversity Visa in the 1986 Green Card Lottery. I was arrested for a crime that I did not commit in 1989. I had a hearing but I was not offered or given a chance to have an attorney. I did not know that I could even do that. Then I was transffered to a deportation center. When I was taken from the jail they gave me someone else's clothes and wallet. With the language barrier I could not retrieve my papers. The (IJ) barred me for five years. I returned to the US ten years later with out inspection. Is it possible to retrieve my old green card back since it was taken away unlawfully, and not lost thru abandonment?

No, it's not possible.
You used to be a permanent resident, but then your status was lawfully revoked by an Immigration Judge and you were deported. Before you were deported, your green card was already revoked (cancelled), this is why you didn't get it back.
You current status is an "illegal alien" who entered without inspection, therefore, you can;t get your former status back.
