How can I find out if a relative has a will after their death

My uncle died 3 months ago and his only living son lives in Denver. My uncle's mother and sister live next door and were in contact with my uncle everyday until his death from cancer. My uncle told me for years that he has a will - due to the fact that he has been in two very nasty divorces and was not speaking to his siter(he told me several times that he wanted to make sure that his stuff and money went to the people he wanted them to go to).He also told me that my family were in his will.We had a very close relationship most of my life.We called each other about once or twice a year to make sure everthing was OK in our lives.I talked to my uncle in January and all seemed well.He died from cancer in May,and the only reason we found out was that his son stopped by becasue he was in town on busniess and found out his father was in the hospital and they were bringing him home that day. They got him home and he died later that day.Three days later his son called me to tell me of his death and funeral would be the next day. After that my cousin went back to Denver and has let everything go because my mother told him that everything has been taken care.I drive by the house and nothing has changed. How do I find out what is going on?

Call your cousin or ask your mother. Or check with the probate court for the place where your uncle lived to see if probate has been opened.
