Legal Question in Immigration Law in Vermont

Hi, I have a family member who's going into a strain situation. Here is the story, a family member (wife) filed for an application for her mother and it was accepted and now she is here but after she got her green card, she fled and she later found out several months later that the documents that she provide the wife like birth certificate during the application status was fraud and I guess she was cheated on in order to come here and the wife was unaware of it. After that incident, more bad news came afterward that the mother stole someone's identity, including the passport which she used to come here (basically all documents). And now the wife is trying to cancel her sponsorship/somehow revoke her green card because she feels somehow threatened and not sure what she'll do because she is already threatened by her phone calls, and after perhaps 11 months later she came back here, EXCEPT she lives with a friend whom' the wife befriend before. The mother now spread bad rumors about her and harassing her at work when she came with the friend she befriended (currently lives with her and live not far). Is there anything that she could take? Or is it impossible? Even I'm threatened by her sometimes because of what trouble she might cause to humiliated more of our families. The wife have the evidence on hand to prove her position. What should she do???

The daughter can't revoke her mother's green card. She can't cancel her sponsorship as well. Mother received a permanent green card, and a daughter remains responsible for her financial support as a sponsor. Only federal government can revoke someone's green card (for a number of serious reasons).

I am not sure I understand what you wrote about mother stealing someone else's identity and personal documents. Don't your wife (her daughter) knows her mother's real name and identity? Didn't she petition for her mother using her real idenity, as her mother?
