Legal Question in Business Law in Virginia
Embezlment
I took on a partner in my business. He took off with over $25,000.00 of the business money. Not only did he do that, but he also wrote me a $6,000.00 bad check on the business account. Also, in our contract, it states that we both signatures were required on all checks written. Only on the checks that were written to me for my payroll draws were both signatures written, the rest never were. I confronted him on these issues and also contacted the bank. What can I do. I do not know where he is.

Your first step, as I think you know, is to locate him. You probably need to hire a good private investigator. If you would like a referral, please let me know.
