Legal Question in Technology Law in Virginia

Using free software - EULA violations?

I want to start a consulting business where I install freeware applications on personal home computers. Is there any grounds to sue me, for being paid to install software that I don't own. To clarify, anyone can go to download(.)com and install a free firewall application, for example. Well, if someone didn't know where to go for these free applications, or didn't know how to install or configure the software, they would then pay someone to do it for them. I feel that as long as I wasn't enabling someone to knowing violate an EULA (end user license agreement), I should be in the clear? This is a gray area for me, so any advice or reference to law codes would be excellent.

I don't see a problem regarding your possible liability for violating EULA's

under this arrangement. More likely, might be clients' possible unhappiness with your installation or related work which might start them thinking about court action in the event that perceived problem(s) could not be satisfactorily resolved.
