Re: is there any hope

Only if such person agrees to provide substantial assistance to federal prosecutors in investigating and prosecuting other federal crimes which are usually in some way connected with the crime(s)of which he or she has been convicted. If such substantial assistance is in fact provided, the federal prosecutors have the discretion under the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure (FRCP) to file a motion pursuant to Rule 35(b)to substantially reduce the sentence of the cooperating defendant which could consequently result in an earlier release date for this person than otherwise would have occurred or been expected.
