Consumption charge
I was drinking the night before, and i live on a college campus, i made it back to my dorm room and was fine that night, no one saw me and so on. The next morning i was really sick and couldn't hold anything down food water. I asked for help for the resident advisor on the floor to help me because i felt so bad. She asked me what was wrong and i made the mistake of telling her that i was out drinking the night before. I was dehydrated and seeked asistance, so i made it to the hospital and was fine and come back to find that i was slapped with a consumption charge under article 3.6A in relavance to the Virginia state law: persons under the age of 21 shouldn't be drinkin well u know the spiel. Since its such a rare case i was wondering if theres any possible way around it a defense b/c at the time i wasn't intoxicated. Thank you for your time plz email me back ASAP.

Re: Consumption charge
The statute that you've cited doesn't require that you be intoxicated; merely, that your body
possess the prohibited alcohol----in whatever quantity.
You should be seeking the services of competent
criminal defense counsel.
