Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
changing custody
Ex-wife has sole custody and I visitation. I have my child 50% of the time. Is it possible, and if so, the possibility of having custody change to joint legal?

Re: changing custody
One would think that could be done by an agreed order submitted to the Court. It's pretty clear from the amount of time you spend with the child that joint legal custody is appropriate, perhaps even shared custody (each parent has children more than 110 days per year, days generally meaning overnights). Shared custody calls for recalculation of child support based on shared custody guidelines.
