Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Custody

At present my ex-spouse and I have joint child custody. Spouse wants full custody only for money purposes. I have statistics to prove I've been with the child more than her since divorce with child care & provision being without question. Would I need a lawyer for the upcoming child custody case or could I present my evidence myself? Thank you.

Re: Custody

Sure, you could act as your own attorney and present the evidence which you thought was relevant and make whatever arguments in support thereof that might be appropriate from your point of view. However, if your ex-spouse

is "lawyered up", so to speak, for this custody matter, you're very likely to come out on the short end of things if the only counsel representing you in this matter is "Mr. Pro Se"

(meaning you alone).
