Re: Domestic Violence

First of all, you must protect yourself and child FIRST and worry about consequences later!!!!!

Does he have a court order for custody and/or visitation? If he does then contact legal services and/or the advocates of the shelter to help you go through the court system?

If he doesn't have a court order you are much safer but not entirely. Again ask legal services in the state your leaving and the advocates in the shelter you're going to, of your plans and let them allow you to leave without concern.

All of this being said, FLEE domestic violence IMMEDIATELY!!!!! There are thousands of resources to help you and get you back feeling empowered and capable of taking care of yourself.

Contact the Battered Womens Justice Project at 8009030111, ext. 1 or www.bwjp.org.
