Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Hi, I have joint custody with my ex wife of our two sons with every other weekend visitation and two weeks in the summer and rotate holidays. My sons have indicated they would like to spend more time with me(maybe 3 weekends a month and 4 weeks in summer). When I speak to my ex about this she says they have plans. My question is how can I obtain more time with my children since my ex and I can not seem to agree? Is this even possible? My sons are 12 & 8 if this makes a diffrence. Thank You

You should consult an attorney, who can try to work this out with her and/or file a motion in court about the matter. You should have more visitation, especially since they want that also. Good luck.

You may file the proper paperwork in court and obtain an agreed order regarding modification of visitation or have an attorney argue the case. Sheryl Shane, Attorney at Law. www.sherylshanelaw.com. Tel. 703 503 4448.
