Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am living in VA for more than 2 years and moving to California for my job purpose. Can i file for divorce in California as we living seperately for more than a year?

You would be better off filing in VA before you leave. You don't even need to stay in VA after you file because as long as you lived in VA for at least six months prior to filing. If you move to CA and file there you won't be able to file right away. CA will require you to live for a specific period of time (each state is different) before you can file.
