property settlement/quit claim

in may 2002, received signed property settlement. in june 2002, my ex signed a quit claim on a rental property, so it could be financed.(did not want to be financially responsible for property if on deed and loan) property settlement/decree states that property is to be sold, but with no date restriction. have had same family,tenants,for 6 yrs. now ex is demanding property be sold. is ex entitled to 1/2 after signed quit claim?

To answer your question with some measure of reliability, an attorney would need to review the relevant documents, including the PSA and quitclaim deed. Why the quitclaiming party would transfer his interest before the nebulous condition in the PSA regarding the property had in fact been met, is quite puzzling, not to mention foolhardy.
