Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Traveling
I have been divorced since Dec 2006. In the MSA agreement it states that I will have visitation four weeks over the summer and that NCP & CP will split the travel expenses. We both used to live in NY. She still has family and friends that live there. I now live in VA and CP lives in FL. The children need to take a flight to come here.
I wanted to know that am I obligated to pay for my childrens total travel expenses when they fly to NY first to visit with her family and friends. Or would it be when they fly to me and fly home from me?
The CP is telling me that we both have to contribute to the total travel expenes. I think it is unreasonable & ridiculous to think I should pay for then to see her family, when it is hard enough to afford the airfare, summer camp, medical, and child support I have to pay.

Without actually reviewing the language of the agreement and its reasonable interpretation(s)as well as the surrounding facts relevant to this situation, I doubt that any reliable answer could be provided to this question.
