Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

almost 2 years ago. a co-worker and i agreed verbally that i would store my motorcycle at his home while i continued to make payments to the bank on it. recently i found out that the friend has reported the motorcycle abandoned under virginia law, and is only a few day away from being able to receive the title from the VirginiaDMV. I am almost done making payments on it and honestly dont want the motorycycle anymore. by him receiving the title from the dmv under abandonment law. will i still be liable for the remaining small balance on the motorcycle or am i free and clear once the title is granted to him?

No, you will not be "free and clear" of your obligation to pay off what you still owe on this motorcycle loan which has nothing to do with your "friend" receiving title to the machine by way of an apparently bogus claim of abandonment through the DMV.

And, why you would allow this individual to perpetrate this kind of fraud

upon you as well as the DMV is a puzzlement, to say the least.
