Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Virginia

How do you regain ownership of your finances and guardianship of yourself, if you singed an irrevokable POA and gave-up your rights voluntairy, without the preceeding being explained to you. I was found incompitant after my automobile accident case went through count and I won several million dollars. I haven't been tested again since 2001. And, I feel like the main reason I am so powerless is for that reason. What do you think? What can be done to regain my independance? Please, send your very descriptive replys to [email protected]

Irrevocable POA's are little known (as well as used) power of attorney

instruments and apparently when used are mainly for the purpose of

maintaining a particular business relationship between the principal

and his agent.

Whether the one that was used in the situation that you've described

was truly appropriate would be difficult to determine from these facts

and, of course, your more pressing concern as to whether some

how this POA could now be voided or withdrawn would require

a more lenthy analysis and evaluation of all the relevant facts and circumstances

involved in this matter.

And, for that I would suggest that you arrange for a consultation

with an attorney in your area who has appropriate experience with

guardian and conservatorships as well as powers of attorney and who should

be able to advise you on this matter, accordingly.
