Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia
I was arrested last night for punching my ex husband. He provoked me. I begged him to stop, pleaded and warned him what I might do. He then egged me by saying "Do it" multiple times. He called the cops and was arrested for Misdemeanor assault on a family member. I have NEVER been in trouble. Now, aside from that matter I am a legal alien that is married to a US citizen. I have 3 children from my ex husband and is currently 5 months pregnant. I am scared of jail time, loosing my children and being deported from the US. What advise is out there?

There is also a danger to your lawful permanent status because a domestic violence assult conviction could be a deportable offense. You should try to have all charges dismissed if possible.
You should hire a good criminal defense lawyer and consult a good immigration attorney immediately.
