Legal Question in Immigration Law in Virginia

if my passport was lost and i'm being asked to send in the biographic page from my passport and a copy of the page indicating admittion for the form I-102 what other evidence is just as appropriate? can i send in my identification card and my marriage license instead.

No, you can't send a marriage certificate or a photo ID - if you are being asked to send in a proof of your lawful admission to the USA.

If you don't have this proof, your application for a green card through adjustment of status can be denied and you placed for deportation. This is why it's important to take this RFE (request for evidence) seriously.
