Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia
Back Pay compensation
I was asked to take unpaid leave due to a legal issue that I had. The company never fired me but I was not getting paid and all benefits stopped. I was found not guilty and aquited of the charges that had been brought against me. My was given my job back but when I asked about back pay for the time I was off, they give me a run around. I was wondering if there is any law or anything I can do tohelp me get my back pay.

Re: Back Pay compensation
No, not unless you were working under a contract of employment which made provision for your continuing compensation under the circumstances which you've described.
