Legal Question in Employment Law in Virginia

If I am an exempt employee at a hospital , not working on a nursing unit but working under their payroll, and their census goes down, can they force me to use my PTO time because they need to cut staff back?

Yes, quite probably (in my opinion) unless this arrangement would somehow

violate your contract of employment or collective bargaining agreement (if there be

any such protection connected with your current employment).
