i live in centreville, va. i did not pay me rent this month, could i be evicted by the landlord and a county sheriff without going to court?

No, your landlord must still file the paperwork necessary with the local general district court to have you evicted from the premises, and to be awarded the right to take possession thereof and to receive a judgment against you for any rent arrearages now overdue.
