military divorce
I have been married to my husband that has been in the military for20 years. We have been married for 16 years and have been separated for a year and a half. Recently i've been told that i can receive half of his retirement. After bringing this subject up with him he told me that under the usfspa act i cannot. i s this true

The answer is that you can receive a portion of retirement or settlement whatever you negotiate as far as part of the divorce proceedings. Obtain counsel to assist you in the divorce.
