I need to know whether I can have a detached garage

THe convenant states the following:

All lots or portions thereof shown on said plat shall be used for

residential purposes only. No structure shall erected, altered,

placed or permitted to remain on any portion of any tract, shown on

said map, other that a single family dwelling and appurtenances

thereto, including a detached garage. No more than one residence to

be occupied by one family and its domiciled servants and employees

will be built on each parcel. Residence is hereby defined as one to

no more than three detached structures.

Yes, I would say so, based upon the wording of this covenant, if the

detached garage which you have in mind plus the single family

dwelling and any additional structure or appurtenance add up to no more than the one residence as defined in the referenced covenant.
